Abstract
Michel Vinaver's La Demande d'emploi (1973) and L'Emission de télévision (1988), and Yannick Haenel's Les Renards pâles (2014) stage or narrate stories of social and moral crises derived from the economic management of the workplace. In this article Marie-Hélène Boblet analyzes these fictional representations in the light of Axel Honneth's thought expressed in his essay La Lutte pour la reconnaissance (1992) and his 2013 text Un monde de déchirements. The “social pathologies” reveal transgressions of ethical norms and the denial of anthropological needs which François Emmanuel evokes in La Question humaine (2000).
