Saturne contre Jupiter. Opposer les récits mélancoliques aux narrations dominantes
Résumé
I highlight, in a first part, by analyzing extracts from the books of Emmanuel Macron, Marine Le Pen and Jean-Luc Mélenchon, three formal features of what constitutes the master narrative of our century, what I propose to call the "Jupiterian narrative". In a second part, I show how the «collective melancholic narrative» of the Yellow Vests constitutes a form of alternative discourse to the narratives of contemporary politicians. In the conclusion, I outline some considerations about the effects that the adoption of the collective melancholy narrative of Yellow Vests can produce as a contemporary master narrative.
