Canada: Gender and culture in father-daughter succession in the family business: A canadian case study

Résumé

From its foundation, immigration has played a key role in shaping the character of Canadian society. Canadians are not of any one country, race, or heritage. The nation is rooted in multiculturalism which means that immigrants are invited to integrate by bringing in the richness of their own cultural background. Despite their pluralism and maybe because of it, Canadians share some common values such as tolerance and egalitarism, which find their true expression in the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. © 2011 Daphne Halkias, Paul W.
