Order–Disorder Transition in AgCrSe 2 : a New Route to Efficient Thermoelectrics
Abstract
The ultralow thermal conductivity of AgCrSe2 is achieved by taking advantage of the cationic disorder in the interlayer spacing of the structure. This leads to a thermoelectric figure of merit higher than 1 at 800K. This unique case opens the route to the discovery of other efficient thermoelectric materials.
