The Glycobiology and Plant Extracellular Matrix laboratory is specialized in the study of complex plant glycomolecules. Three areas of research are currently investigated: 1) the biosynthesis and remodeling of plant glycomolecules during cell growth, 2) the role of plant glycomolecules in plant defence and 3) the study of the N-glycosylation pathways in microalgae. Two transverse projects are aiming to develop (1) new techniques for cell imaging of glycomolecules and (2) new tools to study plant glycobiology that contribute to resolve the scientific problematics addressed by the Glyco-MEV lab. |
